What Kind of Lift Do I need?

It is extremely important to choose the right equipment for a job to keep your materials and team safe. We offer a variety of lifts and lifting services so that no matter what you know you can depend on American Erecting and Ironworks! Our team is always ready to discuss your options with you, but here is a breakdown of what each piece of our equipment is able to do!

Fork Lifts

Forklifts are best used for short distances. They’re often used in warehouses to move around pallets and other inventory. We offer a variety of sizes including 2 Ton, 3 Ton, 5 Ton, 7.5 Ton, 17.5 Ton, 30 Ton, and 40 Ton lifts. Choosing the right one depends on the size of the load you need. Most warehouses would use between a 2-5 ton forklift for simply moving pallets around, but a storage yard would most likely need a 30-40 ton forklift for lifting shipping containers. Forklifts can be used on farms for moving feed and hay, warehouses, construction sites, shipping yards, and anywhere you may need to move bulky and heavy items.

Hoists/Versalifts

These are similar to forklifts, but more versatile and better if you have a variety of items to move. We have two options including 25/35 Versalifts running on LP, Gas, or Electric and can have an optional hydraulic rigging boom. We also have 40/60 versalifts running on LP or Gas with an optional hydraulic rigging boom.

Rough Terrain Telehandlers

These are often used in construction sites for moving materials like lumber and other equipment on a worksite. They are equipped with “telescopic” handlers that can lift materials and they are capable of navigating all types of terrain including uneven surfaces.

Genie Boom Lifts

These are mostly used to lift people for tasks like maintenance and building improvement. They allow workers to have access to high, hard to reach areas. They’re often used by electricians, HVAC Technicians, and plumbers and come with a load capacity of 500lbs. We have boom lifts capable of reaching up to 125 feet.
